Network Research Engineer, ByteDance (TikTok)
Ph.D. in Computer Science, George Washington University
I am a Network Research Engineer at ByteDance (TikTok). I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the George Washington University in 2026, where I worked with Prof. Timothy Wood on programmable dataplane security.
My research focuses on developing scalable, data-driven solutions for network security, high-speed traffic analysis, and programmable network infrastructures. In particular, I design and optimize security systems using programmable dataplanes, including programmable switches and SmartNICs, to support high-throughput network monitoring, threat detection, and attack mitigation. My work combines systems research, large-scale traffic analysis, and machine learning to identify malicious and anomalous network behavior while maintaining low latency and efficient resource utilization.
